I understand, in our culture, a janitor is not a career many people aspire to hold. But, take a moment to think about life in the public forum without our service. Originally, and in other cultures, a cleaner was highly esteemed. In fact, the word “Janitor” is related to the Greek god, Janus, who was known as the guardian of the doors. Think about it; the janitors of today are also the folks who are the guardians of the keys to magnificent multi-million-dollar facilities. We clean for health, we clean to maintain beauty, we clean for safety and we clean to maintain order. We provide an incredibly valuable service to our community and to our customers. We love to clean and we take great pride in our work and the trust that our customers give to us.
